Adgitize is Closing

This is a really sad news not just for me but for most of us who used Adgitize as advertisers and publishers. This site and Ken, the President, has helped us in terms of blog monetizing and in getting to know the bloggers behind their blogs. True that we earned from the ad blocks we posted on each of our blogs more so as an advertiser, but gaining new friends because of blog hopping via the network was all worth it.

A few days ago, emails were dispatched to all members stating that Adgitize will soon close. It was a bit of a shock coz I didn’t have a hint that the network is suffering from financial problems or maybe on it’s way to bankruptcy. Ken said that “the costs to run the business were more than the revenues generated”.

For 3 years Adgitize made it possible to earn from blogs. Competitor blog networks were no match and soon closed down. Perhaps, they too tried their best to stand out but Adgitize for me was the best of them all. So you see, this is sad news for us.

For those who haven’t logged on to their Adgitize accounts for some time, here is Ken Brown’s message for us all:

I regret to inform you that we are closing Adgitize. We have enjoyed working with all of you over the last 3 years and we hope that you have enjoyed our services. Adgitize tried to fill a niche market but the costs to run the business were more than the revenues generated. Here is what to expect over the next 30 days.

Beginning on December 27th, 2011, you will not be able to open any new accounts. We will shut down the ability to create or renew any ads. On January 1st, 2012, we will officially stop showing ads and all member publishers will NOT receive revenue for any Adgitize Ads shown. If you had an ad running with us we will refund a prorated portion of your ad price.

Prorated portion of ad price means if you have an ad running and it expires on January 15th, 2012 then we will send you a PayPal payment of 15/31st of the purchase price. If the purchase price was $14 then you will receive $6.77 USD from Adgitize. We expect to make all payments to refund advertisers fees by January 4th, 2012. If you want payment by check then you will have to wait until after the 12th of January before we send those payments out.

We will send PayPal ad refunds to the PayPal address you have on file with us. To verify that your PayPal email address is valid check the Profile section of Adgitize.

Payouts for publishers and affiliates for the month of December will run on the normal schedule and should be complete by January 10th, 2012, except for those requesting checks which won’t be processed until January 12th, 2012. There is a processing fee of $5.00 per check if your preferred payment method is by check. All publishers with monies owed them who have given us a valid payment method will be paid from $0.01 USD and up.

If you have chosen the credit service within Adgitize, we will payout those earnings to your PayPal address on file with us.

We expect all services and websites to be taken out of service by January 31st, 2012. If you have not given us a proper payment method to send your earnings by that date then there will be no way to make payment to you and you will forfeit those earnings.

To communicate with us over the next 31 days feel free to use the contact us link, the forum or the blog comment section. We will be monitoring each of those communication methods until the web site is shut down.

What you should do. Make sure you have given us a valid PayPal address or street address to send your money to. Remove all Adgitize Ad Groups from your blogs. (You will stop receiving points and revenues from them after December 31, 2011).

I am sorry this is the decision we had to make and wish you the best in blogging for the new year and beyond.

It’s clear, Adgitize will soon close down and all ad blocks are now useless (since January 1st), so it’s time to take them down. I just hope that the company will be able to rise up again and Ken will bring back the glory so we can all sit back and earn from our blogs.

To you, Ken, it was nice of you to pay the prorated portion of my advertisements, some sites won’t even bother. It was nice chit-chatting with you via email and you were really very accommodating.

To Adgitize, thank you for the support! My very first blog earning came from you 🙂

Good luck and may we see you again in the near future.

Make Money Online through Blogging

If you are a newbie in the Blogosphere, then this post may come in handy. I’m sure you’re looking for ways to earn while you spend/waste your time in Facebook or Twitter. Maybe, you’re thinking, “why not do some work and earn, anyway I’m always online”? Well, you can be productive if you want to and if you know how to.

Have you heard about “blogging to earn”? A lot of people from all over the world have diverted their online obsession to earning online mania. Why? Because they earn $$ while blogging!

It isn’t just a simple posting of your day to day life. But some, earn from their personal blogs too. What I’m saying here is, having a niche blog where all the content is basically about one subject. Let’s say you love to travel, then create a Travel blog. You’re a small time chef or a food fanatic, then make a blog about all topics which pertains to food, cooking, baking etc. I know some people who are earning big because they have a niche blog/site.

How they earn is simple but needs time and good blog statistics. But, somehow, with some advertisers, stats are not a problem. Even if your blog is new, but you have great posts, a lot of contents and followings, then they’ll like you.

Below are some ideas that you can do with your blogs in terms of monetizing it:

  • Google Adsense –  obviously this is a Google application. A blog owner can apply for an account and when approved, you get paid for displaying advertisers ads. It could be text links or images depending on what you choose to display. Note that there are a variety of ways to earn in Adsense, just don’t click your own ads or you’ll be punished or banned.

Google Adsense

  • Nuffnang – this is a blog advertising community catering to Asia Pacific sites and where targeted ads are placed on the members blogs. The same with any other ad service platforms, you get paid if someone clicks on your advertisements. There’s a computation for all this and it can be best explained to you when you check out their site because apart from clicking, you also earn thru the unique visits your blog gets in a week.

Nuffnang

  • Direct Advertising – Have you seen those signs in some blog’s sidebar saying “Advertise Here”? Those are for direct advertising where there is no third party involved, just the blogger and the potential advertisers. Rates depend on the blog’s stats in example – Page Rank, following, monthly visitors and/or positions in the search results for a particular keyword. Again, some advertisers doesn’t care about your PR but your number of readers and unique hits.

  • Infolinks – this is another form of advertising but is placed within the article or post. If you can see on this post the blue colored words with dotted lines below it, that’s Infolinks! Try hovering your mouse on a particular keyword and you will be presented with relevant ads. If you think that advertisement is related to what you are looking for and you click on that, then I’ll earn coz it’s what you call Pay Per Click advertising.

Infolinks

  • Adgitize– this is a blog advertising network where you can earn and increase the traffic of your blog. You earn more and fast if you advertise your blog for $14 a month. You can get your investment back in a month’s time provided you post everyday in any one of the blogs registered with your account in Adgitize and you click and surf the other advertised blogs on the network. If you don’t you can still earn by clicking the other advertisers’ blogs to gain points which will be converted to $$ by the end of the cycle month. Though this is a slow earning option. You can find out more by clicking the banner below.

Adgitize your web site.

There are many other ways to monetize your blogs and at least have some cash in your bank every month. The sites listed above are legit and I have been using them for years (Adsense) and some for almost a year now.
